Nashville Men Stole Fridge For Crack Money: Police

Two men stole a refrigerator and stove from a vacant North Nashville home and intended to sell the appliances for crack money, police say.

NASHVILLE, TN -- A pair of men broke into a vacant North Nashville home overnight, stealing consumer durables which they intended to sell for crack cocaine money, according to Metro Police.

Officers responded to a burglary alarm at a home on 24th Avenue North and allegedly spotted two men - Billy Goodrich, 44, and William Goodrich, 27 - coming out of the back door of the house carrying a refrigerator.

The men reportedly admitted to breaking in to the home and taking the refrigerator, along with a stove which had been left in the alley for later transport.

William Goodrich allegedly told investigators he intended to sell the refrigerator to get money to buy crack cocaine.

Both men are charged with burglary.
