Here are the top three stories in Nashville today:

  1. Justin Jones and Justin Pearson, the two Tennessee state lawmakers who were expelled for participating in a gun reform rally, are expected to be reinstated by Nashville officials. According to Pearson, if he gets reappointed, then his district might face potential retaliation. (Yahoo News)
  2. On Saturday, Apr. 8, Nashville first responders were called to recover a body from the Cumberland River. The Nashville Fire Department did not specify where the body was discovered, but the crews launched their boats from Cleece’s Ferry Boat Ramp. The victim was later identified as 46-year-old Wesley Brogdon. (WKRN)
  3. Pups & Pints, the popular free festival that benefits the Nashville Humane Association, will return to Nashville on May 20! Beer lovers and dog lovers will get the chance to come together to celebrate the local community. The event is open to the public and "all ages of humans and pups." (Williamson Source)
