Nashville Woman Throws Brick Through Church Door: Police

A 35-year-old Nashville woman became angry and threw a brick, shattering the front door of a North Nashville church, police say.

NASHVILLE, TN -- A 35-year-old woman became upset and threw a brick through the front door of a North Nashville church Sunday morning, according to Metro Police.

According to witnesses, Cysilvia Jordan came to Ransom Temple Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 9 a.m. Sunday and was "verbally upset." There were numerous children at the church and congregants moved them to a "safe place" while confronting Jordan, according to the affidavit.

Jordan then threw a brick through the front door of the church, shattering its glass. She told police she was trying to get her child.

Jordan has numerous convictions for a variety of crimes, including a conviction last month for a March incident in which she was throwing bottles and breaking the windows of numerous homes along 16th Avenue.

She is charged with vandalism over $1,000.
