Pants-Off Post Office: Nashville Man Catches Indecency Charge

NASHVILLE, TN -- A 52-year-old Nashville man was arrested New Year's Day with his pants off, "pleasuring himself" inside the Church Street post office, according to Metro Police.

An officer checking on the post office at Church and 18th Avenue saw Paul Smith sitting in the lobby with his "penis in his hand and in the act of pleasuring himself" and was "not concealed in any (manner)," according to an affidavit.

Though the post office was closed for business, the lobby was accessible to allow customers to check PO boxes.

Smith was charged initially with indecent exposure but pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of public indecency.
