  1. This weekend will see a combination of rock and rollers, podcasters, and fans attending the Nashville Fairgrounds for the annual ROCKNPOD Expo. Event guests this year include Eric Martin (Mr. Big), Eddie Ojeda (Twisted Sister), Jason McMaster (Dangerous Toys), Stevie Rachelle (Tuff), and many others. Events will take place throughout the weekend including live concerts, a movie screening, a comic/pop culture convention, and a comedy show. You can purchase tickets to the event here. 2. Members of the historic Holy Trinity Episcopal Church located at 615 6th Ave. S. are expressing concern about the proposed construction of a 32-story high-rise across the street. The church, built in 1852, has ties to the Civil War. The congregation is worried that the nearby development will threaten the limited parking accessible to the church and that impact blasting may damage the building. (WKRN News 2)
  3. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigations has released a report showing how the 2013 passing of the "guns in trunks" law resulted in the skyrocketing of firearm thefts. In Nashville alone, more than 1,300 guns were reported stolen from cars last year, a significant fraction of the 9,413 guns stolen across the state. Gun thefts in Nashville have also reportedly increased since Gov. Bill Lee passed a law in 2021 to create harsher penalties for someone caught stealing a gun. (WZTV)

  • The Nashville International Airport has relocated the cell waiting lot to now off of Murfreesboro Pike due to construction and passenger need. The good news is that the lot is now double the size of existing cell lots and has digital signs that display real-time updates about incoming flights. (Nashville International Airport via Facebook)
  • If you have a flight coming up, the Nashville International Airport also wants you to be aware that spring break means an increase in passenger volume. You'll want to allow plenty of time for security checkpoints and to check out the airport parking map to eliminate frustration. (Nashville International Airport via Facebook)
  • It has been 90 years since the deadliest tornado in Nashville's history touched down north of Vanderbilt University and then moved east through downtown Nashville, East Nashville, and Donelson before lifting in Hermitage. The estimated F3 tornado killed 11 people and injured 81 others. (National Weather Service Nashville via Twitter)
