- A 15-year-old boy is facing charges after a 12-year-old girl was accidentally shot and critically injured at an apartment complex in Nashville. The incident occurred at the Tony Sudekum apartments on University Court, and police believe the girl was holding the boy's handgun when it went off. Four other juveniles were present during the incident, and the boy has been charged with unlawful gun possession and tampering with evidence. (rutherfordsource.com)
- A woman has been arrested and charged with child neglect after a 3-month-old boy died and six other young children were left unattended in her West Nashville apartment. The woman, identified as 51-year-old Anne Jordan, was operating a daycare out of her apartment at the time of the incident. The investigation into the infant's death is ongoing, and the woman faces six counts of child neglect. (WKRN News 2)
- Metro police are on the hunt for a man who attacked a woman on Vanderbilt University's campus. The victim reported being tackled and threatened with rape by the suspect, who fled after she fought back. Authorities are seeking information from the public to identify the suspect, who was described as shirtless, wearing khaki shorts, and carrying a black backpack. (WKRN News 2)
