Everything To Know About The Titans Wild Card Playoff Game

The Tennessee Titans return to the playoffs for the first time in nearly a decade, squaring off with the Kansas City Chiefs.

NASHVILLE, TN -- For the first time since the 2008 season, the Tennessee Titans are in the NFL playoffs and will begin their quest for a championship in Kansas City, squaring off against the AFC West champion Chiefs Saturday afternoon.

The Titans (9-7) are a nine-point underdog to the homestanding Chiefs (10-6), having made the postseason with a Week 17 win over the AFC South champion Jacksonville Jaguars. Saturday's game kicks off at 3:35 PM Saturday at Arrowhead Stadium and will be broadcast on ESPN.

The Titans are carrying a two-game winning streak against the Chiefs into the game, having won against an old AFL rival at Arrowhead in both 2016 and 2014; in fact, the Titans have won in four of the team's last five trips to the Paris of the Prairie dating back to 2007.

The two franchises have met in the postseason only twice. The last meeting was a 28-20 Chiefs win in the divisional round against the then-Houston Oilers on Jan. 16, 1994 in the Astrodome. Before that, the then-Dallas Texans defeated the Oilers 20-17 in overtime to win the AFL championship at Houston's Jeppessen Stadium.

If the Titans win, they will face a road trip to either Pittsburgh or New England in the divisional round.
