Titans Playoff Freeze-Out Finally Thaws
In the coldest home game in franchise history, the Tennessee Titans won, securing the team's first trip to the playoffs since 2008.

NASHVILLE, TN β For the first time since the 2008 season, the Tennessee Titans will be in the postseason.
With a 15-10 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Two-Toners locked up a wild card spot and then with the Cincinnati Bengalsβ upset of the Baltimore Ravens, the Titans climbed up to the AFCβs No. 5 seed and will travel to Kansas City to face the AFC West champion Chiefs Saturday at 3:35 PM. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
The temperature at kickoff Sunday was 23 degrees, the coldest home game in franchise history.

The Titans hit some individual milestones, as well. Pro Bowl punter Brett Kern finished the season with a punting average of 49.7 yards per punt, the second best single-season figure in league history, bested only by Sammy Baughβs 51.4 yards in 1940.
Safety Kevin Byard had two interceptions, including a late one that sealed the victory, which gave him eight for the season, tied for the league lead.
