Uncle Shot Trying To Stop White's Creek Carjacking

A man was hospitalized after intervening in his nephew's would-be carjacking in White's Creek.

NASHVILLE, TN -- A man was shot in the arm trying to foil his nephew's carjacking Friday night.

According to police, a black Ford Fusion pulled up next to a white sedan at the Marathon station in the 7500 block of Old Hickory Boulevard. A passenger got out of the Fusion and demanded the driver of the sedan get out of the car.

The uncle of the sedan's driver, who was in a minivan behind him, tried to intervene in the would-be theft and was shot in the arm, according to police. He was hospitalized but his injuries are not life threatening.

Metro Police said the Fusion was last seen on Old Hickory Boulevard heading toward Dickerson Pike.
