Woman Found Dead In North Nashville Home, Boyfriend Arrested

Metro detectives are investigating the death of a woman found in her North Nashville home Monday morning.

NASHVILLE, TN -- Metro Police found a woman dead inside a North Nashville home Monday morning and charged her boyfriend with murder.

Officers were called for a welfare check at a home near the intersection of 21st Avenue North and Formosa at 6:30 a.m. and had to force their way inside where they found the beaten body of 46-year-old Donna Adams.

At 6:40 a.m. Clarksville Police contacted Metro regarding John Holman Jr., 51, who had run his car into the Cumberland in the Queen City and allegedly made admissions about the death of Adams, his girlfriend. After the discovery of the body, Holman was charged with criminal homicide.

In 2016, Holman was convicted of two counts of domestic assault after a dispute with Adams and their adult son.
