Z Mart Murder: 1 Arrested, 1 On The Run

Metro Police arrested one of the two suspects in the murder of a 56-year-old man in a North Nashville gas station parking lot.

NASHVILLE, TN -- Metro Police arrested one of the men suspected in the murder of a 56-year-old man in the parking lot of a North Nashville gas station.

Jamil Holloway, 20, was arrested Friday for the murder of Louis Lisi. Holloway, along with 24-year-old Mardeus Phillips, were identified as "persons of interest" in Lisi's death. A warrant has been issued for Phillips' arrest.

Louis Lisi, 56, died after he was shot by two men outside of the Z Mart at 26th Avenue and Clarksville Pike in what was believed initially to be a robbery bid. The operators of the Z Mart said Lisi was selling toys from a trailer in the gas station's parking lot, but witnesses said he was operating a gambling game, according to a police press release, and the other man who was shot - 64-year-old William Fox - was acting as security for Lisi, sitting in a nearby car.
