• Share America Foundation Chooses Banjo Stylist/Vocalist Derek Stone As A Scholarship Designee (chattanoogan.com) — A young Chattanooga banjo player who has performed at The Mountain Opry in Walden has been named a 2025 Pearl and Floyd Franks Scholarship designee by the Share America Foundation. Fifteen-year-old Derek Stone, a McCallie School student and award-winning musician, will receive college scholarship support as he continues pursuing bluegrass performance and future studies in engineering or music-related fields.
