Texas Man Mows Lawn During Home Burglary: Police

A man can be seen mowing the lawn on surveillance video provided by police, who say he later evaded authorities.

PORT ARTHUR, TX — A Texas man is being accused of burglary, and police say surveillance video shows him mowing the front and back yards of the house in question with the lawnmower he stole.

Port Arthur police are searching for Marcus Hubbard, who they say is the man in the video, which was posted to the Port Arthur Police Department Facebook account Thursday. Hubbard has an outstanding warrant for a burglary of a building charge, according to police.

The video shows a man walk up the driveway of the house before removing a bicycle and then a lawnmower from the home and cutting the grass in two locations.

The incident occurred April 1, when police responded to a call reporting an "unknown person cutting grass on their property."

Hubbard ran from the area while dragging the lawnmower with him when officers saw him at the house, police said. He later abandoned the lawnmower in an alley and evaded arrest, according to authorities.
