  1. Did you know that April is National Poetry Month? The Cedar Park Public Library invites the community to come out and participate in its read-aloud poetry event starting at 4 p.m. tomorrow, April 2. Guests are welcome to bring their favorite poem, and that can include: song lyrics, poems in different languages, different styles of poetry, nursery rhymes and original works. Even if you don't have anything to share and just want to listen, head to the Community Room. Visit City of Cedar Park for full details.
  2. The City of Leander contractors installed permanent metal signage at the Ronald W. Reagan Boulevard and Hero Way intersection. Signals also were installed at S. Bagdad Road and Sonny Drive, though the light itself is not yet working. Street striping, markings and a pedestrian crosswalk need to be installed before the lights are turned on. Stay tuned to the City of Leander for status updates.
  3. A partnership with the municipalities of Georgetown, Round Rock, Liberty Hill and Leander and the AgriLife Extension office will host an irrigation workshop on April 15. "The workshop will be from 9-11 a.m. at Round Rock Utilities and Environmental Services, 3400 Sunrise Road." Some topics covered will be: operating control boxes and smart controllers, addressing leaks, fixing nozzles, and maintenance. The event is free and it's recommended that attendees register ahead of time. Visit AgriLife Today for full details.
