Cedar Park Non Profit Seeks To Raise Funds For Storage Freezer

Reveal Resource Center is in need of a freezer for additional storage of fresh foods that benefit families facing food insecurity.

CEDAR PARK, TX—This 2021, if you're looking for ways to make a meaningful impact in your community, consider lending support to organizations working to help those most in need. Reveal Resource Center Cedar Park welcomes the community's donations to help raise funds for an additional storage freezer.

The Reveal Resource Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to feeding families through both physical and spiritual resources. Reveal Resource Center relies on the support of the community to help advance their mission to serve others. In the past three years, Reveal Resource Center was able to install a 40 foot refrigeration container on their campus. This allowed for greater storage of fresh meats and fresh produce intended for distribution to families facing food insecurity.

As a result of the pandemic, the Center has received higher than normal amounts of meat and produce from the Central Texas Food Bank, as well as their store partners, and the additional donations have required the need for additional storage capacity. The Center's goal is to secure two additional 40 foot insulated containers to be placed beside their refrigerated container, and would welcome one for a walk in freezer for meats and the other as a refrigerated cooler for the produce. Additional food storage would allow more residents to benefit from the fresh foods available during this challenging time. Currently, Reveal Resource Center has had to turn donations or distribute the food that is unable to be stored to other ministries.
