- The City of Cedar Park announced a traffic alert for Aug. 14. Starting Aug. 14, the final paving of Bell Boulevard from Cypress Creek Road to just north of Cedar Park Drive will begin. The project will last two weeks. Work will take place from 8:00 p.m. through 6:00 a.m. every night except Friday and Saturday nights. The Bell-Cypress Creek right turn lane will be fixed as well. - College standout Colt Walker of Cedar Park and Standford University won a medal on the global stage. Due to his medal, Walker earned a place to compete in the 2022 OOFOS U.S. Gymnastics Championships from Aug. 18 through Aug. 21 at Amalie Arena in Tampa. (USA Gym)
- Pickleball has become popular among people in Texas. According to the article, pickleball courts are in such high demand that many tennis facilities in Texas are converting courts. A court called the Austin Pickle Ranch is expected to open next spring in South Austin and a complex in Cedar Park called Electric Pickle is in progress. (Texas Monthly)
