City of Cedar Park Showcases Youth Art With Contest

The Cedar Park Youth Art Contest invites youth ages 18 and under to submit artwork that may be selected to be shown at the city's Library.

CEDAR PARK, TX —Art is not only a celebration of creative expression, for kids, art is an important skill that fosters social, emotional, and mental development and enhances their view of the world. In an effort to showcase the artistic excellence of Cedar Park's youth community, the City of Cedar Park invite residents under the age of 18 to participate in their Youth Art Contest.

This year's theme for submission focuses on the Monarch Butterfly Recovery Initiative. Artists are asked to include a monarch butterfly image anywhere in their submitted artwork, and creative submissions are encouraged. Selected artwork will be showcased throughout several public areas of the Cedar Park Library.
