Girls In Tech Austin Hosts Virtual Workshop

Girls In Tech Austin will host a free virtual financial literacy workshop for young women interested in pursuing careers in technology.

CEDAR PARK, TX — Girls in Tech Austin, offering engagement, education and empowerment for Austin girls and women will host a virtual Financial Literacy Workshop on Saturday, June 27 at 11:30 a.m. High school students ages 14-18 are invited to learn more about ways to break the ice on learning about your financial future.

The virtual workshop will feature several activities ranging from interactive games to discussion on important money management topics. The event highlights the importance of financial education and stresses the benefits of learning financial literacy at an early age.

Girls in Tech was founded in 2007, and is a non-profit organization working toward eliminating the gender gap in tech. The organization has more than 50 chapters worldwide, with over 60,000 members and offers opportunities for women and girls to engage in all things tech.
