Leander Homeschool Community Invited to Hands-On Learning Events
Parents of homeschooled children are invited to bring their little ones to any of several events happening in February at the Wonder Studio.

LEANDER, TX —The Wonder Studio, a collection of casual weekly classes for homeschoolers in the Leander, TX area, invites kids to a fun afternoon of hands-on learning with the Chemistry of Break Making and the science behind making bread. The event is designed for kids ages 6-11, and participants will discover what is yeast, what it eats, and what it produces, as well as why bakers knead bread.
The cost for the class is $5, and kids will take home take home a bun loaf to continue with the experiment after the event is over. To register, click HERE. Throughout the month of February, The Wonder Studio will host several exciting learning events, including:

- The Chemistry of Bread Making: What is yeast anyway? Kids will explore measuring out ingredients with fun scientific tools while learning the science behind making bread. What is yeast? What does it eat and what does it produce? Why do we knead bread? Kids will take home their very own bun loaf to continue this experiment at home! Ages: 6-11. Cost: $5
Thursday, Feb. 20 at 12:15 p.m.
- Silly One Pot Meal: Kids will make a tasty one pot savory meal using beans, ground beef, and biscuits. Easily replicated at home so your kiddo can cook dinner for the family !Class taught by a fellow homeschooling mom with a love of baking. Ages: 6-11. Cost: $5

- Park Days- Joanna Land Playground: Come play at the park! All ages welcome! About Organizer:A collection of casual weekly classes for homeschoolers in the Leander, TX area. All are welcome to join our classes and events.

- Engineering a Pulley: Kids will engineer a three towered pulley system that transports a cup of goldfish across the table. Now that’s a cool way to snack! Before they can get their Goldfish though, they have to earn it with a STEAM inspired game of BINGO using Goldfish as the playing pieces! Ages: 6-11. Cost: $5
Friday, Feb. 28 at 1 p.m.
- Reptile Show: Your children will get up-close and personal with a variety of amazing reptiles while they learn about unique characteristics and adaptions, conservation and the importance of these fascinating animals in our world. These hands-on shows feature a variety of live reptiles from around the world- Guaranteed to grab their attention! They'll have so much fun they won't even realize they're learning! Presented by Austin Reptile Shows. Pricing: $3 for children ages 4+
