UPDATED: Leander ISD Announces Revised Food Service Schedule

LEANDER, TX — With the start of Spring Break and having suspended normal school operations due to the recent health advisory regarding new coronavirus, or COVID-19, the Leander ISD has announced a plan to provide breakfast and lunch services for students, as well as an upcoming update for ways to provide distance learning tools and instructional resources for families.

Leander ISD has revised the food service schedule for Tuesday, March 24:
Please be aware that on Tuesday only:

• From 7:30 a.m. – 9 a.m., we will be offering breakfast.
• From 11:30 a.m – 1:30 p.m., lunch and the following morning’s breakfast will be available.

** Starting Wednesday, March 25, Leander ISD will offer hot meals once a day. Students may pick up a hot lunch and a breakfast meal for the next morning from 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. through curbside or drive-thru pick-up service at these locations:

• Bagdad Elementary School located at 800 Deercreek Ln, Leander, TX 78641
  
• Reed Elementary School located at 1515 Little Elm Trail, Cedar Park, TX 78613
• River Place Elementary School located at 6500 Sitio Del Rio Blvd, Austin, TX 78730
• Running Brushy Middle School located at 2303 Lakeline Blvd, Cedar Park, TX 78613

Leander ISD will be working with community partner to help supply families with food backpacks on weekends and more details will be made available soon via the Leander ISD website on student food services.

As Leander ISD continues to follow and track updates, decisions regarding the remainder of the school year will be made on a week-by-week basis on Thursdays, beginning on April 2 to confirm the re-opening for normal operations for the week of April 6.
