Leander ISD Hosts April Virtual Job Fair

LEANDER, TX —As events are cancelled amid the world's coronavirus, or COVID-19 health pandemic, many employers are now looking to recruit qualified candidates via remote opportunities as a way to remain connected, and identify prospective employees to continue driving the workforce. The Leander Independent School District (LISD) announced plans to move forward hosting its Virtual Teacher Job Fair beginning Tuesday, April 7 through Wednesday, April 22.

As a virtual experience, candidates are invited to promote their skills and abilities for any of the open positions within the Leander ISD community. To participate, individuals are asked to:

Step 1: Apply online at https://www.leanderisd.org/Careers

Please select all of the teaching positions that interest you and be sure to complete the application in its entirety, and upload all necessary documents (cover letter and resume, for example).

Step 2: Access Leander ISD’s Virtual Teacher Job Fair on Flipgrid - Link coming April 7th!
If you are using a mobile phone, please note that you will need to download the Flipgrid app. Once on Flipgrid, you will see the drop-down menu listing the campuses and departments where you can upload your video.

Step 3: Read through directions on how to create and upload a video here!

Step 4: Create your video!
This is your chance to shine! Record your 2 minute “elevator speech” video response telling us what makes you a heroic educator for the students of Leander ISD!
Be yourself, have fun, and show us what makes you a great fit for LISD.

Step 4: Upload your video to the campuses/departments of interest

Step 5: The Human Resources Department and campus/department staff will be reviewing virtual job fair videos and applications for potential interviews as positions become available.
