Leander ISD Offers Free Meals During Winter Break

LEANDER, TX — Knowing that the need for children to access nutritious and delicious meals does not stop when school is on break, Leander ISD is offering its Child Nutrition Service to provide free high-quality food through the winter break.

The offering comes with a slight adjustment to the district's normal Curbside Meal Service, officials added. Pick up dates and sites during winter break will be limited to two dates:

• Monday, Dec. 21 | 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 4 – 6 p.m.
• Monday, Dec. 28 | 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 4 – 6 p.m.

There will two pick-up sites:

• Cedar Park Middle School | 2100 Sun Chase Blvd., Cedar Park, TX 78613
• Running Brushy Middle School | 2303 Lakeline Blvd., Cedar Park, TX 78613

School district officials noted all other sites will be closed during the winter break

In related news, Leander ISD revealed a seven-day order cycle for its Child Nutrition Services. What this means is that families can order free breakfast and lunch meals for each of their children Monday through Sunday. To that end, Child Nutrition Services continues to offer safe and innovative options for e-learners as well as community members.

Curbside Meal Service continues at all middle school campuses with Monday – Friday pick-up times (except during the Winter Break Meal Service). Pre-ordering for seven days' worth of meals is available now, and pick up will begin on Monday, Dec. 14 at any of the middle school locations during the times listed below.

Cedar Park MS | Canyon Ridge MS | Danielson MS | Four Points MS
Henry MS | Leander MS | Running Brushy MS | Stiles MS | Wiley MS

Instructions for Ordering Online

*Curbside meal service will be closed during the winter break, district officials noted. However, 7-day Winter Break Meals will be available to pre-order for pick up at select locations and dates during this time. Regular curbside meal service will resume on Monday, Jan. 4.
