• "Fireball Dropped Straight Down Out Of The Sky": Dazzling Sight Wows North Texans (dallasexpress.com) — Cedar Park residents were among nearly 200 people across Texas and nearby states who reported seeing a vivid blue-green fireball streak across the sky Tuesday evening. The American Meteor Society is analyzing the event, which some observers described as the biggest and brightest object they’ve ever seen overhead, and experts say it may be tied to the upcoming Geminid meteor shower.
   

• Canyon basketball standouts Webber, Graser voted Athletes of the Week (mysanantonio.com) — Cedar Park hoops fans may recognize their team as the recent opponent in a 38–30 loss where Canyon senior guard Kambrie Graser scored 13 points, helping her earn Canyon News Female Athlete of the Week. Canyon guard Jordan Webber also claimed Male Athlete of the Week after a 33-point outing against Lubbock Monterey, with local fans voting in the weekly contest.
