- A 79-year-old Leander resident is the Guinness Book of World Records holder for being the oldest active fitness instructor. For the last six years, Tim Minnick has been a fitness instructor at Gold's Gym in Cedar Park. He was also a 2022 SilverSneakers Instructor of the Year Award finalist. (Austonia)
- A Cedar Park Optometrist was ranked number 14. On Jul. 25, Newsweek announced its 2022 ranking of the nation's top optometrists and ophthalmologists, listing the top 22 out of 10,000 optometrists, ophthalmologists, clinic managers, and other healthcare professionals across the United States.
