- Leander ISD families can register for new shoes for the upcoming school year. Scan the QR code and register before the "LISD PTA Back-To-School Free Clothing And Shoe Giveaway" on Saturday, Aug. 13. The event is located at 324 S. West Drive in Leander. (LISD PTA Council)
- On Aug. 4, Cedar Park's American Hockey League team, Texas Stars, announced the club signed forward Ryan Dmowski. The 25-year-old's one-year AHL contract is for the 2022-23 season. (OurSports Central)
