1. Leander ISD families can register for new shoes for the upcoming school year. Scan the QR code and register before the "LISD PTA Back-To-School Free Clothing And Shoe Giveaway" on Saturday, Aug. 13. The event is located at 324 S. West Drive in Leander. (LISD PTA Council)
2. On Aug. 4, Cedar Park's American Hockey League team, Texas Stars, announced the club signed forward Ryan Dmowski. The 25-year-old's one-year AHL contract is for the 2022-23 season. (OurSports Central)
