LISD Hosts Equity And Diversity Listening Sessions

Throughout March, LISD will host a series of listening sessions to spotlight racism and inequity within the District, and discuss solutions.

LEANDER, TX—In an effort to understand instances of racial inequity and other discrimination in the district, Leander families and the community are invited to Leander ISD's Equity and Diversity Listening Sessions throughout the month of March. The listening sessions are designed to support students and families and spotlight the truth about racism and inequity within LISD, and use the insight gained to create change and improve.

The community listening sessions are for parents, students, teachers, and staff and are a result of the messages, conversations, and feedback offered by Leander ISD families during Citizen Comments at Board meetings. Feedback and additional action steps will be presented during an upcoming spring 2021 Board meeting. Upcoming Equity and Diversity Listening Sessions include:
