Live Webinar Discusses Coronavirus Impact On Local Economy
TiE Austin hosts noted economist Angelos Angelou in a live webinar to discuss the local and regional economic impact amid coronavirus.
CEDAR PARK, TX —The scope of the economic impact of coronavirus on Austin and Central Texas remains to be seen as weeks pass and area businesses close and/or layoff their workforce. With no way of knowing the duration of the public health crisis, communities across the state are left feeling in limbo amid an uncertain future.
A live webinar, The Impact of the Coronavirus on the Austin & Central Texas Economy, is scheduled on Tuesday, April 21 from 8 p.m. - 9 p.m. and will feature Angelos Angelou, a noted economist and founder of International Accelerator, addressing the economic consequences likely expected for Central Texas and the country. Angelou has previously spoken on issues of public policy, economics, and technology at forums in the course of several years.
The webinar will focus on topics such as the outlook for the Austin and Texas economy, how major demographic factors impact the business climate in Central Texas, and the current status of the Austin Technology, Housing, and Retail Markets.
