- Leander Tree Experts is teaming up with local wildlife conservation group Friends of the Forest. "The two organizations will work to create habitats for endangered species and promote the preservation of natural resources in the area." Some initiatives they'll implement: protect various animal species, create sanctuaries safe from human interference, engage locals on conservation, and more techniques on long-term sustainability. - Texas Sparks Constructions is behind two new retail centers in Cedar Park with an estimated April opening. The first will be Clover’s Plaza and the second will be the Shops at New Hope, both on New Hope Drive. Each strip will have 11 individual units and is expected to have the following: medical, dental, grocery, spa, restaurants, coffee, Kumon Learning and a gym. - Lake Travis Zipline Adventures will officially open its season on March 1. The attraction is on Pocohontas Trail in Leander. Tours include: 3-hour guided adventure with ziplining heights of 300 to over 2,800 feet, nature hikes, boat transportation, bottled water and all-day lakefront access.
