- Steiner Ranch parents filled a Leander ISD cafeteria with questions about the district's 10-year-plan. "They want it to reconsider plans that would expand resources on its north side and potentially lead to overcrowding in its southern portion." Crestina Hardie, chief of communications for LISD said that the consolidation of older campuses could add to funds to use to build newer ones. Leander ISD parents like Heather Tankersley, are just asking the district to hold off on re-purposing and relocating campuses for a few years, to combat a possibility of overcrowding in the future. KXAN has more information on this story.
- Phase 2 water conservation returns to City of Leander after a pipeline repair in Lake Travis was completed. The bigger picture of the repaired pipe will require a replacement joint, expected to take two years once decided upon, to avoid situations like the last leak. For now, Leander residents can only irrigate their yards once a week, but can hand water lawns any time. "Leander residents can report water violations online to the City's Code Enforcement Division." Visit KVUE for more information on watering days for the city.
- The real estate trends have cooled down some, but Cedar Park-Leander has some new listings that may prove otherwise. 1703 Chalk Cove is listed at $535,000 while 2132 Montesol Ln. is listed at $599,900. 1113 Positano Pass tops those two listings at $795,000.
