1. Yesterday, Jul. 26, the "Teach the Truth Coalition," a coalition protesting book censorship in Texas public schools, held a "read-in" protest in the Capitol rotunda. Many students across Texas are protesting the book bans. A group of students at Leander ISD's Vandegrift High School created a "Banned Book Club" in February 2022. (KVUE)
2. The Cedar Park Police Department's "2022 National Night Out" is from 6:0 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 2. The block party is a way to get to know neighbors and the police officers who serve the community. Officers will attend block parties in the neighborhoods that register.
