Second Sunday Art Funday Invites Neighbors To Valentine's Event

LEANDER, TX — Come out and explore your creativity with Leander Public Arts Commission's (LPAC) Second Sunday Art Funday event with an afternoon making handmade Valentine greeting cards to take home, or as gifts to a loved one. Participants may also create and donate cards for distribution to area nursing homes and children's hospitals by LPAC and volunteers.

Individuals and organizations may donate purchased or handmade Valentine cards and notes prior to the Sunday, Feb. 9 event and through Wednesday, Feb. 12. Second Sunday Art Fundays are held on the second Sunday of each month from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. on most months. LPAC events are an adults-only art program unless otherwise stated. Each month, various entertaining, educational and fun activities are planned, and are typically held at the Leander Public Library.

Each Second Sunday, participants have the opportunity to explore the scheduled art activity for the month or to work on their own project, or to enjoy both. Participants are encouraged, but not required, to bring supplies and equipment for that month's activity, or for their own project. Each month presents an opportunity to create, share, learn and collaborate; participate in fellowship; gain inspiration; and to mingle with friends and neighbors and talk about art.
