Virtual Town Hall Discusses COVID-19 Impact On Minorities
Texas Organizing Project hosts the livestream with medical professionals discussing the disease's impact on black and Latino communities.
CEDAR PARK, TX —The COVID-19 public health crisis has impacted all aspects of day-to-day life for communities across the country, however, based on collected data, the pandemic continues to disproportionately impact black and Latino populations. To gain a broader picture for why these communities are being more adversely impacted, the Texas Organizing Project will host COVID-19: Threat on Black and Latino Communities – a virtual town hall on Thursday, May 28 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. CDT.
The virtual town hall invite the community to a conversation with medical professionals in Texas who will address the disparity of healthcare, discuss the effects of COVID-19, and ways to better protect black and Latinx communities in Texas.
