Winter Clinics Offer Intro To Baseball And Coaching Fundamentals

The Leander Parks and Rec offers a winter clinic for youth ages 7-12 and a coaches clinic for adults 18 and over taught by a Varsity coach.

LEANDER, TX — The City of Leander Parks and Recreation Department invites the community to register for its Winter Baseball Players and Coaches Clinics, where all clinics will be led by Varsity Baseball Coach Matt Grissom. Players clinics are for ages 7-12; coaches clinics are for ages 18 and older.

The FREE clinics are an opportunity for children to learn the fundamentals of baseball and taking advantage of the benefits associated with playing a sport including motor skills development; social skills development; self-confidence; sportsmanship; fun and enjoyment; and making friends.

Hitting Clinic (Winter Clinic) will be held Tuesday, Jan. 14- Thursday, Jan. 16 from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Leadership Training (Coaching Clinic) will be held Tuesday, Jan. 21 & Wednesday, Jan. 22 from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m.
