- Mieka Davenport is on a mission to save 15 duck eggs from being tampered with or destroyed in a Cedar Park H-E-B parking lot. Davenport describes herself as a "crazy bird lady" who discovered the duck eggs during a grocery shopping trip. Ducks need bodies of water to live in, and ducklings have a better chance of survival if they stay with their mother after hatching. The eggs are stored in an a tree marked for removal, and though Davenport contacted H-E-B and the City of Cedar Park, she has no word on when the tree will come down. Visit KXAN for more details.
