YNPN Austin Hosts Virtual Session On Mental Health

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, Tacos & Tips: Mental Health and Positive Self Talk will offer insight on mental wellness topics.

CEDAR PARK, TX —May is Mental Health Awareness Month and YNPN Austin invite the community to discuss self care, how to cultivate emotionally healthy children, and ways to create a self-talk tool kit as part of their Tacos & Tips: Mental Health and Positive Self-Talk on Thursday, May 21 from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. via Instagram (@ynpnaustin). The virtual event is part of the Tacos & Tips series now offered online as a result of COVID-19 restrictions.

The virtual session will feature Rakima D. Parson joining via Instagram Live offering expert advice and insight on ways to stay well, especially during these challenging times. Parson is a licensed counselor with a BS in Sociology and a Masters in Science of Counseling. She has received training in play therapy and specializes in trauma, externalizing behaviors and anxiety.

YNPN Tacos & Tips events are typically offered at a low cost for non-members but during this time of physical distancing registration is FREE for both YNPN Austin members and non-members. Please RSVP by reserving a free ticket HERE.
