2 Arrested For Narcotics Possession After Short Pursuit
Shane Gray and Kelly Ann Teinert face felony narcotics charges after evading police.

NEW CANEY, TX — A man and a woman were arrested on felony narcotics charges after they ran from police during a traffic stop. Police said that a deputy constable tried to pull over a driver as he was leaving a convenience store at FM 1485 and Loop 494 at about 3 a.m. Monday, but the driver refused to stop.
Police said the driver, identified as 38-year-old Shane Gray, led deputy constables to the Caney Mobile Home Park, and was taken into custody and charged with evading arrest, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
His passenger, identified as 32-year-old Kelly Ann Teinert, was arrested on an open felony warrant for violating her probation for possession of a controlled substance.

Both were taken to the Montgomery County Jail. Teinert is being held with bond set at $100,000.
Gray is being held without bond, police said.
