2 Rob Porter Area Walmart At Knifepoint: Police

A shoplifting at an area Walmart turned into a robbery when one of the men pulled out a knife on the store manager, police said.

PORTER, TX — A shoplifting at a Porter area Walmart turned into a robbery when one of the robbers threatened the manager with a knife. Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office were called to the Walmart located at 23561 Interstate 69 on Feb. 6.

The manager said that a young white male in a dark hoodie and a young black male in a red shirt and dark shorts came into the store and began placing items in a basket.

The black male left the store and went to a dark Kia Soul in the parking lot, and pulled over to a fire exit door near the garden center entrance.

The white male tried to leave the store with the cart of merchandise through the fire ext, but was seen by the manager.

The manager told deputies that the man ran out the door to the waiting car and the pair began loading the merchandise in the Kia Soul.

The manager said he confronted the white male, who pulled out a knife and put it in the managers face. The men fled the parking lot in the Kia Soul.
