2 Young Boys Drown In Conroe Pond

CONROE, TX — Two young children drowned in a pond in Conroe on Thursday, officials said.

Deputies responded to the area off of Wigginsville Road in Conroe around 6 p.m. and found two young boys. Officials and citizens administered CPR on the boys but their efforts were unsuccesful.

The children, a 3-year-old boy and a 4-year-old boy, both died. According to KPRC, paramedics performed CPR on the children for nearly an hour.

The children have not been identified and investigators did not say who was supposed to be supervising them, according to KPRC.

When authorities first arrived at the scene, they found a 5-year-old child who had cuts, according to KPRC. Officials thought that was the missing child but a woman later came to the area looking for the boys.
