Child-Sex Sting Nabs 28 Montgomery County Men

An undercover sting operation nabbed 28 men for attempting to sexually exploit Montgomery County children.

Conroe, TX -- A months long sting operation resulted in the arrest of 28 men for attempting to sexually exploit children in Montgomery County. The operation targeted internet-based sexual predators.

Some of the men were arrested after showing up for what they believed to be meeting for sex with a minor that they had previously contacted online. Other suspects were charged with possession of child pornography.

The arrests were the result of an investigation conducted by the Montgomery County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

The task force includes officers from the Conroe Police Department, Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, all Montgomery County Constables' offices, the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Department of Homeland Security.
