Conroe Businessman Pleads Guilty To Sexually Assaulting A Child
Michael Hogan, 41, was sentenced to five years in prison for sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl, prosecutors said.

CONROE, TX — A Conroe business man who was accused of sexually assaulting a child in 2017, will spend the next five years behind bars, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.
Michael Hogan, 41, who had no criminal record, accepted a plea bargain on Monday and pleaded guilty to the offense. Hogan, who ran equestrian training at the Triple H Horse Farms in Conroe, met his victims there when they came to train, according to prosecutors.
Police said one of the victims, a 15-year-old girl, was meeting with Hogan for riding lessons. Prosecutors said Hogan communicated with the girl through social media platforms and ultimately convinced her to meet him at a hotel where he sexually assaulted her.

Prosecutors said the child didn’t immediately make an outcry, which made it impossible to recover any physical evidence. Investigators were able to gather enough evidence for an indictment by the Montgomery County Grand Jury in December 2017.
"At the time of Hogan’s arrest, his defense attorney made false allegations against our prosecutors and law enforcement — claiming we were investigating Hogan for some political gain or solely to disparage Hogan’s reputation in the community," said Montgomery County Prosecutor Tyler Dunham. "This has become a well-known and worn out, and too frequently used excuse. Now that Hogan has pleaded guilty and admitted he sexually assaulted a child, the community can see the truth."
