Conroe Parks and Rec to Host Leadership Adventure Program
Teens and tweens will spend one Saturday a month learning how to camp.

CONROE, TX — Children in the seventh and eighth grades will have an opportunity to explore the outdoors this fall through the Conroe Parks and Recreation Department's Leadership Adventure Program.
The program, funded in part by a recent grant from the Texas of Parks and Wildlife service, will take teens and tweens on actual campouts and will teach participants various wilderness skills.
Students will learn how to identify different types of wildlife, how to fish, cook in the wilderness and geocaching.
