CONROE, TX — Two Houston Police officers were recognized this week by the Montgomery County Hospital District for saving a man who'd suffered a heart attack. The incident happened on May 21 at the Walden Yacht Club on Lake Conroe.
HPD officers Jose Reyes and Ariel Nunez were enjoying a day off in the Walden Yacht Club and swimming laps at the pool. As the two off-duty officers were leaving, Phillip Brewer fell to the ground after suffering cardiac arrest.
He wasn't breathing and his heart had stopped. Reyes and Nunez reacted immediately and began CPR on Brewer, according to hospital district officials.
