Former Magnolia West Custodian Charged With Sex Abuse Of Child: Police

Jeffrey Hitchcock is accused of multiple instances of sexual assault of three children whom he lived with between 2008 to 2014.

MAGNOLIA, TX — A former Magnolia West custodian is accused of sexually assaulting three children several times between 2005 and 2014, according to a criminal complaint obtained by Patch.

Jeffrey Hitchcock, 62, was arrested last week and is charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14. He is being held at Montgomery County Jail on $150,000 bond, according to authorities.

Hitchcock was living with the three children, who are siblings, and former wife Dana Hitchcock at their home on Hazy Meadow Drive in Magnolia from 2005 to 2014. Rick Hitchcock, Jeffrey's brother, also lived there until sometime in 2009 or 2010, police said. The children's relationship with Hitchcock has not been revealed to protect their identities.

The children, now between 18 and 20 years old, told police they were sexually assaulted between the time they were 3 years old until about the fifth grade, according to the complaint.

The siblings told police of multiple instances where Hitchcock touched their genitals or attempted to have intercourse with them as well as several times he made them touch his genitals. The siblings also told police Rick Hitchcock sexually assaulted the oldest sibling when he lived with them, according to the complaint.

The abuse continued until the three siblings moved in with a guardian in Conroe in 2014, the complaint said.

The oldest sibling, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease when she was 4 years old, told a classmate about the abuse in December 2018. The classmate told a teacher at Caney Creek High School, leading police to open an investigation.

All three children "experienced the effects of personal trauma" and exhibited many symptoms, including suicidal thoughts, depression and lack of anger control, as a result of the abuse. The youngest sibling was admitted to a hospital in The Woodlands following a suicide attempt in 2019, according to the complaint.

Hitchcock formerly worked as a custodian at Magnolia West High School but resigned in 2013 following a school investigation into an incident in which he was accused of initiating inappropriate contact and conversation with a 16-year-old student, according to the complaint.

It is unknown if Rick Hitchcock is facing charges, and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office did not immediately return an inquiry from Patch requesting that information.
