Magnolia Bus Driver Charged With Child Indecency Free On Bond

Matthew Curry, 40, arrested on Dec. 28 on one count of child indecency was released on Saturday after posting a $30,000 bail.

MAGNOLIA, TX — A Magnolia ISD school bus driver who was arrested last week on one count of indecency with a child by sexual contact, was released from the Montgomery County Jail over the weekend.

Matthew Curry, 40, who was arrested on Friday on one count of child indecency was released on Saturday after posting a $30,000 bail and told he would be required to wear an ankle monitor, officials said. Curry is accused of inappropriately touching a 6-year-old girl who lives next door.

Deputies were called to a home in the 14400 block of Timbergreen Drive for a complaint of child indecency. The parents of the little girl said the child went next door to help feed the neighbors animals believing they were out of town.

Curry was apparently in the home, officials said, and asked the girl if she wanted to help feed the animals. During their encounter, the child told her parents that Curry restrained her and began touching her inappropriately.

After speaking with the parents, deputies spoke with Curry who allegedly confessed to touching the girl inappropriately.
