Magnolia Couple Tries To Pay For Pizza With Meth, Police Say

David Wood and Linda Faye Webster are in the Montgomery County Jail after they tried to buy a pizza with a bag of meth, police said.

MAGNOLIA, TX —A Magnolia couple who were a bit strapped for cash, tired to pay for their pizza with meth instead of the customary greenbacks, and were arrested at their home Wednesday night.

David Wood, 45, is in the Montgomery County Jail and is charged with possession and delivery of a controlled substance, while Linda Faye Webster, 42, is also being held on narcotics charges, according to police.

Montgomery County deputy constables were called to Wood’s home at 30126 Scottie Street in Magnolia by an angry pizza delivery driver who claimed Wood handed him a small bag of meth and less than $2 in change when he delivered his pizza.

Deputies went to Wood’s home and asked him about the incident. Deputies said Wood didn’t recall giving the pizza delivery driver any drugs, and then allowed deputies in to search his home.
During their search deputies recovered a box that contained drug paraphernalia, and prescription pills, according to police.

Deputies said Wood appeared to be under the influence of drugs while they were at his home.
Wood and Webster were arrested and taken to the Montgomery County Jail.
Bail for Wood was set at $3,000, and Webster has a $750 bond, police said.
