Man Found Shot In Wrecked Car in Conroe's Tamina Community

Eric Thomas, 36, was found in a wrecked car with a gunshot wound to his chest in Tamina.

CONROE, TX — What police though was a single vehicle crash on Rhodes Lane in Conroe, later turned into a homicide investigation when police discovered the victim had been shot. Montgomery County Sheriff's deputies were called out on Saturday by an off-duty DPS deputy who’d seen the car crash. Deputies found Eric Thomas, 36, with a gunshot wound to his chest.

Deputies said Thomas was conscious when he was found.

Thomas was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition, but later died from his wounds.

Investigators are looking for 51-year-old Wayne Gordan Jr., who is wanted for questioning. Witnesses said Gordan was seen in the area driving a Black/tan 2004 Ford F-150 with gold lettering “WAYNE GORDAN JR. TILE” on each side, police said.
