Police Arrest 3 Burglars In Porter, Thanks To Watchful Neighbors
Two men and a woman were arrested after residents in a Porter neighborhood saw three people stealing tools from a home

PORTER, TX -- The watchful eyes of good neighbors helped police in Montgomery County track down three people they'd seen stealing tools from a neighbors home. Montgomery County deputies were called at about 7 a.m. Saturday to a home in the 19600 block of Pin Oak for a burglary report.
Neighbors in the area told investigators they saw a white Jeep driving in the neighborhood, and saw two white men walking away from a home carrying tools toward the white Jeep.
A neighbor told police that he confronted the two men, who ran off into a wooded area. A woman, who was driving the white Jeep, fled the area.

However, the witness said the woman driving the Jeep returned to the area a short time later, and appeared to be looking for the two men who'd ran off.
Police said the neighbor came outside and began following the Jeep, and called 911. Police intercepted the Jeep, and identified the driver as 37-year-old Melissa Kay Marshall.

Police questioned Marshall and learned that the two men, identified as Jeffrey Allen Cloud, 38, and William Andrew Russian, 19, were hiding out at a home on Amy Lane.
When police drove to the home, they saw Russian and Cloud in the front yard of the home. When both men saw police approaching, the ran and hid inside the home, police said.
Deputies were able to coax Russian and Cloud from the home, and both men allegedly confessed to stealing the tools from the home, officials said.
Marshall, Russian and Cloud were all charged with burglary, and were taken to the Montgomery County Jail. Russian and Marshall are being held with bond set at $10,000. Cloud is being held without bond.
