Registration Open for Woodforest Charity Run in Conroe

CONROE, TX — Registration has open for the 7th annual Woodforest National Bank Charity Run in Conroe. The race is scheduled to be held on Sept. 17 at Heritage Place, 500 Collins St., in downtown Conroe.

The event is composed of two USA Track and Field sanctioned races, the Woodforest 10K and the Insperity Invitational 5K. The 10K starts at 7:40 a.m. and the 5K kicks off at 8 a.m.

Along with the 10K and 5K, there will also be a one-mile family fun run sponsored by Rocha Consulting and the Barkley Shoe Dash. The shoe dash is open to child 5-12 years old and will be held on Simonton Street, in front of Heritage Place.

Participants will begin the dash wearing only one shoe, their other shoes will be in a pile 50-yards, or about 46 meters, away. The runners will have to sprint to the pile, find their shoes, put them on and then sprint back.

Along with the races, the event will feature food, music and family friendly activities.
