Teens In Stolen Car Lead Deputies On A High-Speed Chase
2 teenage boys are facing multiple felony charges after wrecking a stolen car during a police pursuit, police said.

CONROE, TX — Two teens were arrested after they led sheriff's deputies on a high-speed chase through Emerson Estates in a stolen car Sunday night. Deputies who were patrolling the area tried to pull the teens over for a traffic violation on Carmen Road at about 12:30 a.m.
However, the teens sped off and tried to elude deputies, reaching speeds of 70 miles per hour, officials said.
During the chase, one of the teens in the car fired a weapon deputies, shortly before the driver of the car lost control and crashed into a tree in a resident’s front yard.

Deputies said two to three juveniles got out of the car and fled on foot. Patrol units searched the area, but the teens escaped and eventually turned themselves in to police.
While deputies were inventorying the car, they found a Springfield XD .45 caliber handgun.

Both juveniles, ages 14- and 15-years old, admitted to being in the stolen car and were taken to the Montgomery County Juvenile for booking.
During their investigation, deputies learned the 14-year-old boy had been reported as a runaway.
Five felony charges and one misdemeanor charge were accepted between both juveniles which include unauthorized use of motor vehicle, theft of firearm, and evading arrest/detention.
