2 Killed In South Montgomery County Murder-Suicide
A man and woman were found shot to death at the Dakota Canyon Apartments on Saturday night, police said.
SPRING, TEXAS — The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the apparent murder-suicide of a man and a women outside an area apartment complex. The shooting happened just before 11 p.m. Saturday at the Dakota Canyon Apartments in the 25600 block of Interstate 45.
Witnesses told sheriff’s deputies they heard gunshots and saw several people on the ground and possibly wounded, Lt. Scott Spencer said during a press conference.
"The 911 caller [said] they heard three gunshots," Spencer said.

When deputies arrived they found man and woman who’d both been shot in the head, investigators said.
Their identities have not been released.

Investigators later determined that the man shot the woman twice in the head, and then turned the gun on himself. Police are still trying to determine how the man and woman knew each other.
The shooting is under investigation by the sheriff's office, the Montgomery County DA's office, and the Texas Rangers.
